I have a layer 3 Nexus 5528 that I need to create an ACL for and then apply to a vlan interface. I am not familiar with the commands needed to do this on a layer 3 switch

how do I create an ACL blocking all traffic on a vlan interface?

I need to create and apply the acl correct?

Here you go:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/switches/datacenter/nexus5000/sw/configuration/guide/cli_rel_4_0_1a/sec_ipacls.html

They syntax on NX-OS is a little different than traditional IOS. You will create the ACL and then apply it on the interface in the direction of your choice.
