Windows IIS7.5 web traffic logging

Hi,

Any suggestions how to track how many connectionts, page hits, page views etc., we can monitor per server?
We do use google analytics for outside, but internally we want to see what is really going on.

We dont have IIS site logging enabled as it creates way too many files and clogs up the space.

Any 3rd party tools suggestions or native windows way?

with no IIS logging enabled I am not sure I can see a way you would be able to monitor server traffic short of perf counter.

With that being said even if you added a third party solution you would have to look at overhead (performance cost).

My suggestion would be simple:
1. enable logging
2. Run a nightly job leveraging iislogparser to gather metrics
3. Delete the logs up to the point before the report was compiled.

You could tweak your approach but in my mind that would work and the daily - deletion would eliminate the space constraint concern.
