Windows Azure v ASP.net

Hi

I have been developing in ASP.net for around 2 years and someone suggested that I try Windows Azure. I am busy downloading it and noticed a comment about Windows Azure solutions hosted on Mucrsoft servers. I want to be able to host a great looking site on my own servers and no extra expense. Is this possible with Windows Azure? Is ir similar to ASP.net?
