Outlook issues

A user is on OOO and we have got report that if someone tries to Email they do get 2 Out-O-Office emails

We have checked there is only one and if we disable there is none received on trying to send him email but if enabled we start getting two again

Hi,

could you give more infos about your infrastructure ?
is the person still connected with her Outlook opened while out of the office ?
what's the Outlook version ? What version of exchange do you use ?

Check if there are Transport Rules on your server that deal with OOO-Messages
Check too if the user has set up some Rules on their own...

No user isnt working at all on Paternity leave

Sorry but it was my only idea about :)
could you post some exchange logs about the transport of the 2 mails ?
(like message tracking log of the OOO answers, and so on... ) ?

Hey Thomas, i like Idea people :)

Sorry but the issue is that when someone send email to this user Internal\External they get 2 Out-Of-Offie emails .... not sure what what Transport logs you want ?

Sorry i can share some basic error as this client isnt allowing to share internal data :(

you can use the powershell commandlet "get-messagetrackinglog -sender <the mail address of the absenty here>" to get the  log
don't forget to format list it and just take the 2 mails sent as OOO message
you can eventually stripe out the private infos as long as they are not different for the same attribute :) (if you find a difference for the same attribute, this could be the reason of the glitch...)

What arrtibute as i see that with message tracking logs this user send twp OOO everytime a new sends an email ........ sorry but now i am more confused

The only different i see is the SubjectID that says 2 OOO emails are surely going to recipients

Seems some corruption and we wer able to fix this by removing OOO and then moving user mailbox
