Have you tried different programs and documents (print one line text document in notepad)?

Open Devices and Printers. In the dialogue window, click once on any printer. A new menu bar comes up. Click on Printer Server Properties, Drivers tab.  Check for duplicate or superfluous drivers and remove known duplicates. See if that helps the speed.

I assume the document you are printing is not on a slow network, but please verify and test with a local document.

Refer to these two links which shows some instructions to follow while doing check when there is slow printing happening from the Printer.

As you can print test page in seconds then do not look like hardware issue but still there could be connectivity problems while sending data bigger than test page.

Also try to print from different user account and see if issue exists or not? Sometime corrupt profile could also cause such issues. Then you may need to recreate profile by renaming old profile from C:\Users

Also there is some benchmarks given by HP for testing this printer, about slowness.

What kind of things print slowly? Is it text documents, or photos, or some other type of document?

How big is the spool file? To find out, double-click the printer icon on the taskbar while printing.
