Hello Experts,

Can someone please explain the following configuration on Cisco router? In particular what login authentication line does? Also what is the effect of adding both login authentication line and login tacacs?

Can an expert please tell me why I can't add login tacacs on GNS3 routers? I can only add login local.

Cheers

You need to define the login method in your AAA + TACACS section and you call it when you come to use it.  I have not tried the code below.  The other thing to bear in mind, is that GNS3 may not provide a full support for AAA and TACACS.

aaa authentication login default group tacacs+ enable
aaa authentication login group enable group tacacs+
aaa authentication login vtylogin group tacacs+ enable
!

 exec-timeout 60 0
 timeout login response 90
 login authentication vtylogin
