Suppressing quotations with the same value

The database I have contains projects. This can be for a building site where materials are supplied and quotations are prepared in this project. Due to the tender or bidding process several quotations may be made in the same project to several different customers. I need to recognise this and only show one quotation per project with the same value. The running total also needs to recognise where a quotation of the same value AND in the same project is present - this value only needs to be included once in the total.

How do I supress the quotations with the same value and in the same project on the reports and how do I ensure the running total also takes this into account

The best way is to filter them out before they get to the report.

I would normally do this by grouping the report

First group on project
Second group could be materials (assuming 1 material per bid)
Can you have several different bids on a material?
If so which bid do you want to use?
You could group on bid amount and use a running total to calculate bid totals
Running total would execute when the bid amount group changes
