Restore/recover Windows 2008R2 to VMWare from Windows Backup
Hi all!
We've had a server crash with SBS2011, and need to do a restore to a VMware computer/image. We have a huge problem in finding similar hardware to restore/recover from Windows backup, so we have tried to restore to a VMWare machine. Of course it just boots into a bluescreen, because of the missing/different harddisk drivers in VMWare. Is it a way where we can install the drivers/convert the virtualized machine to start properly?
Of course this is urgent, as the customer is without their server for the moment...
Thanks!

after the restore, into a VM, have you tried a repair on the OS from the DVD.

Yes, it said that it couldn't repair the computer automatically, and that the "problem signature07" was "BadDriver".
