Mail Merge in Outlook 2010

RE: Windows Server 2008 Standard SP2 and Microsoft Office 2010 Pro Plus
 
For some reason I am unable to mail merge in my Outlook 2010 client.
 
Outlook 2010 is the default program for all mail functions in control panel > default programs.

My computer has 8GB RAM and I have 269GB disk space free.

Error attached.

Hi the_omnific,
Are you trying to create the data source on the fly? Looks like mailmerge is looking to use Winmail. Tell me more about how you are launching your mailmerge...

Please restart the machine and try to open Outlook in safe mode and create a new Profile and check firstly

Hi, I am selecting a single contact as a test at the moment from Outlook contacts. Choosing the option to send to selected contacts only, send to email option, write test in the word doc then send. Then I get that error. I have been able to perform this on other computers so the process is correct, I can't work out why it's not working in this instance.

I will recreate my mail profile and let you know this morning.

Please do also check the Outlook version and is the Windows OS same on both clients ?

Created a new profile and I am still getting the same issue. I am upgrading our terminal server to 2012 soon so I will try it again with Outlook 2013
