Make document library of http://companyweb web site available to external users
I used to run SBS and have since migrated my companyweb site to a separate machine running SharePoint Foundation 2010. I have a certain document library to which I would like to give read-only access to external users. These external users will be partners, so they will have a domain user name and password.
I’d appreciate feedback from folks on how to:
1. Expose this specific document library to these partners without allowing them to see anything else.
2. Expose it to the Internet in a safe and secure manner.
Just so it’s clear, this document library currently part of the http://companyweb site but if it would make more sense to separate it out in some way that is an option as long as it’s not terribly difficult.
I’m not a SharePoint expert, so if you could please consider that in your feedback I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you very much for your help
