how to change main table in database

Hello-
am attaching sample of database:
Just the table-(table1)-
at present I sum [time spent] and divide by count of records-and I have queries and reports built-

Now management want me to still sum all of the [time spent]  - but when I divide by count of records - I need to not count pending completion records - (and there are a couple hundred)

So in this sample database I have attached- there are 11 records - but 3 are pending completion- so I need to divide sum of time spent by 8-

do not have idea of how to go about this-
my original thought is I would like to be able to change the table-outside of the database and then import it back in and not change other parts of database. but am confused.

any ideas?
Thank you

Can you show expected result? We should sum time of all records or only records without "Pending Completion"?
You can get 0.2875 Or 0.38125. What is expected?

Look at sample. You need 2 queries (qry1 and qry2). They, of course, may be combined into one (qryAllinOneAvg)
