Dear Experts:
Presently we have hosted our website with service provider "A" where as hosting is done in their data center for the reason we were not happy with their service we had to move to different service provider "B" hence as a firs step we have a control over domain control panel for this domain and new service provider"B" have completed new website development to enable the new website live change A record to the new "B" service provider hosted server
We have emails accounts also maintained by the present service provider.
Can anybody suggest me is the above correct and also how to do this first moving website and then how to move the mail account and service to "B" mx pointing to eb changed.
My requirement woudl be even though after moving to service provider "B" for the website still for few days would like have continued with mails with the "B" service provider.
Please suggest. thanks in advance.
It is not needed to have working emails on the current provider once the MX change has been done but I would do it over the weekend to be on safe side though the propagation do not take that long.
The only thing that you need to be careful of is to make sure that you copy all the details to the new server. This can be a manual job, you can export the emails to a .pst (if you use outlook) or some other format and import them over.
or you can speak to the new provider who might be able to help you with that.
