Public Folder Database cannot be deleted

Hi

We have migrated an Exchange 2010 on-premise to an hosted solution. We now need to remove the exchange server role from the server as it will be used for other purposes.

However, when I try to remove the public folder database I recieve the following error:
--------------------------------------------------------
Microsoft Exchange Error
--------------------------------------------------------
The public folder database 'Public Folder Database 0227461406' cannot be deleted.

Public Folder Database 0227461406
Failed
Error:
Public folder database "Public Folder Database 0227461406" is the default public folder database for the following mailbox database(s):
EICTASERVER\First Storage Group\Mailbox Store (EICTASERVER)
. Before deleting the public folder database, assign a new default public folder database to the mailbox database(s).

--------------------------------------------------------
OK
--------------------------------------------------------

The problem with this is that the EICTASERVER doesn't hold any exchange roles anymore. I'm guessing that this is something from a previous migration. I have tried several things but nothing works.

Plz help
Thx
Filip

Either use REmovePFreplica PS1 or simply delete the PF database using ADSIEDIT

I forgot to say that all the mailbox databases are already removed. I think that the database Mailbox Store was hold on the old server.

Can you describe the steps to do it using ADSEDIT?
