I'm looking to have someone upgrade from EMC OS Flare v2.23.050.5.709 and Navisphere 6.23.8.0.13.  What's the latest version I should upgrade to?  How long would the upgrade take?

The upgrade usually takes 90 minutes to two hours. The latest version depends on what model of array you have now. What model of array do you have?

You have an AX4-5. Latest version of FLARE is 02.23.050.5.710. You can download it from the EMC AX4-5 support site (https://support.emc.com/search/?text=ax4-5&facetResource=DOWN). Release notes are here: http://www.emc.com/microsites/clariion-support/pdf/300-005-724.pdf. Have a read of the release notes: there's no really super-critical bugs fixed in .710, so you may not want to bother upgrading.

.711 does fix a critical bug, so you do want to upgrade to that version. FLARE release notes are here: https://support.emc.com/docu37284_AX4-5-Series-Integrated-Management-Software-Release-Notes-Version-02.23.050.5.711.pdf?language=en_US

It's an AX4.  Could you upload a copy of the PDF?
