I wonder how this option will effect our connectivity to sql2005? if I set this disable, will it impact our connection to SQL2005 using any client tool such ssms, sqlcmd or any other program that run by application ?

According to MSDN:
Set remote access to 1 (default) to grant permission to run local stored procedures from remote servers or remote stored procedures from the local server.

The remote access option only applies to servers added using sp_addserver and is included for backward compatibility

Refer: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms187660(v=sql.90).aspx

Looks like your connectivity will not impact, but would impact execution of stored procedures on the servers added using  sp_addserver.
