notes email text changes from regular text to bold automatically all of a sudden

When composing an email in lotus notes, the text in the body of the email automatically changes from regular to bold upon enter key to next line.  
Just started.. ???

Just a hunch: do you use Stationery?

no.  But I edited the text properties and the font indicated regular print.  I selected bold then saved then went back into it ansd selected regular and hit ok.  Then I closed notes and restarted notes and itr's working fine.  Strange.
