Our company recently had a voip phone system installed with a SV8100 server unit.  Each employee now has direct numbers for phone and fax.  The tech also setup fax to email so that each fax line can recieve faxes via email.  Some of the email attachements are coming over and employee's cannot open them.  Only version 10.1.4 of Adobe reader will work.  I looked at the metadata of the PDF's and see that Hylafax is the software being used for conversion and noticed the version is older than current.  Does anyone know if this converstion is happening on the SV8100 and if so how to access a linux command line to update this package?

I presume you mean a NEC SV8100

Hylafax is an open source fax server, it uses ghostscript to convert to PDF.

I have not found any documentation that would suggest that Hylafax is running on the NEXC SV8100

I would suggest that as you had the phone system put in "recently", that you spoke to the company that installed it about your pdf issue.
