Hello Everyone,

I am using an old Pix515e in one of our remote locations.  This pix is running 6.4 ios.  We have had this pix for a long time and was not able to get support for it because it is end of life.  Since I had no support I needed a backup device in the case the pix died.  I purchased an after market pix 515e, but the ios is 7.4.    I am not a cisco expert, so I did not want to upgrade the old pix to the new ios. I want to backup the 6.4 ios on the old pix and then downgrade the ios on the newer pix, but I am having trouble backing it up.  Is there any way to back up the ios to a tftp site?

Thanks,

Bill

Hello Pete, That link shows me how to backup the configuration....How can I backup the ios file?  I believe it has a "bin" extension.

Thanks,

Bill
