what is the difference between the deliver and non delivery report. One of the articles say if the deliver report box is not checked ndr will not be sent, that doesnt make much sense to me??

I have a exchange 2010 box, i want to verify i am looking in the right spots for NDR settings. I only see like 2 places for them. It does not seem like i am generating NDR and i am not sure if it is exchange or my security appliance. Thanks.
