SharePoint calendar overlay

Hi guys,

We are setting up a sharepoint server and we want it to connect to some exchange calendars.

I searched a little bit and found out that is is called CALENDAR OVERLAY.

Can you give a hand on this?

I am a little lost, but i tried to connect to my calendar and got:

Could not establish trust relationship for the SSL/TLS secure channel with authority 'webmail.domain.com.br'. (c06a6840-7e8e-418c-b2d1-c7becdd459c7)

and if i got to my owa > calendar > share > SHOW CALENDAR URL --> it is grayed out, shouldnt it be the rul i have to put on sharepoint?

Anyway, need some help on all process.

Thx!

On your sharepointsite, click into your calendar heading so the view is only your calendar.  In the top bar is calandar tools, click calendar, in in your top ribbon will be connect to outlook.  your sharepoint calendar will then be in your outlook and you can overlay it with your personal calendar .

I tried your suggesstion but as i can see, one of us didnt understand the question/solution, so lets work it out:

I tried your suggestion, but what hapenned was that my outlook now has the sharepoint calendar and what I want is the inverse... I want sharepoint to have somekind of a intire department availability, i tought it was on CALENDAR OVERLAY > ADD CALENDAR (on sharepoint) and there i put people calendars settings, so sharepoint get connected to theyrs calendar.

Dont know if i made myself clear, if is there any questtion pls let me know.

I'm sorry, I see what you're saying, i thought you wanted the opposite, sp in outlook.  Yes you are correct overlay will work.  The claendar name should be the username in AD/exchange, then enter your owa website.   https://remote. domain.com/owa or wghatever you use.  Click find below exchange web address  should be something like https://remote.domain.com/EWS...

What are your permissions on the SP site?
