Hi,

Does gmail support HTML in the body of an email?  I have sent a test email to Outlook 2010 and to gmail in HTML format.  Outlook displays fine but gmail displays the following:

<p>      this&nbsp;is&nbsp;a&nbsp;test</p><p>      sindfpi&nbsp;sdj</p><p>      spiidjf&nbsp;spdjf&nbsp;sd</p><p>      fsdoif&nbsp;s</p><p>      dofj&nbsp;s</p>

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Rick

You probably have it formatted wrong.  Since Gmail is displayed on a web page, they are fairly picky about formatting.  They will ignore or delete anything that would break their page.  HTML email is supposed to be formatted as a Mulit-part MIME message.

How are you generating your HTML for your message?  Can you show us what you have?

Thanks Dave.  You were correct, the email did not contain all of the formatting.  I was actually sending multiple emails.  The first email was fine but everyone after that had corrupted message text.

Thanks for your time,

Rick
