Hello,

During installation of a NEW SQL Server stand-alone installation, after I select all the features to install and the paths, I get the following window:

"SQL Server Setup failure" (headline)
"SQL Server Setup has encountered the following error:
Requested value 'ReFS' was not found.

Error code 0x84BB0001"

Does anyone has a bright idea?

<this problem is because you are trying to install any component of sql 2012 on a ReFS formatted drive

install on an NTFS drive or format the target drive to NTFS and all works fine.

I figured it out: REFS is Microsofts new file format. It was introduced with Windows 8 and Windows 2012 Server. I just reformated the drive, I intended MS SQL Server to install on and everything was fine.
