Trying to setup a VPN from my Windows 8 Laptop to my TZ170 Sonicwall

I am trying to connect my laptop that is using my tethered LTE from my phone to log into my network at work via VPN.

I have a static IP at work but i can't seem to get it to connect for some reason. I feel like my setting on my sonicwall TZ170 are not right.

It seems like the TZ170 wants me to know what address will be coming in to make the request but being a tethered connection that will change all the time. I have it setup to obtain ip address using DHCP. But its asking from IPSec primary gateway name or address and i think i have that wrong. I can send screenshots if necessary an and send logs.

VLANs are isolated by design so if you don't allow routing between the Guest and other VLANs it should be isolated.
You probably want to he guest to get to the Internet so that most likely won't work.
Your other option is to manage the traffic flow using ACLs.

ASKER

I just need access to my network so i can access a database on my server.
I get the attached error on my pc and my sonicwall log says

IKE Responder: Received Main Mode request (Phase 1)

IKE Responder: IKE proposal does not match (Phase 1)

Sorry, but my answer was for a different question for someone else.
I don't know how it got here.

I have no idea for your Sonicwall VPN issue beyond what the messages are telling you and that is your IPSEC key exchange config is not set up the same on the client and server..
Thanks, no problem

The problem is that the 2 don't seem to have the same credentials to make it work, or im entering something wrong somewhere. Is there another method to do this?
