i have a file type with .ods extension, any file type i should have to open

you can open it with openoffice, also microsoft excel will open it.

it says file doe snot have a program associated with it, craete an assocaition in folders options control panel when i try to open it with xls.

how to associate

just right click on the file and select the open with option, and say always open with excel.
