SCCM 2012
I have been tasked with using SCCM 2012 to create an image of a workstation and deploy that image to another workstation. Basically we want to have an installed OS and put some apps on it and deploy that image to other workstations.
From what I can tell is you cant do that with SCCM 2012.
Can someone point me in the correct direction or send me a link that describes this ability?
Thanks a bunch.

I have read that solution a couple of times and to be honest, the screen shots do not match my version of SCCM. Is that for SCCM 2012 or a previous version?

Yes that is for SCCM 2007. The menu options and layout has changed for 2012.

Anyone else out there with any information on deploying an image with SCCM.

This is for sccm 2012.
You can capture thick images. To pause the script use these tricks. Your versions maybe slightly different.

Actually even in the task sequence you can create a command to open notepad and use that time to install applications which cannot be scripted.
