Unable to Send Email. Event ID 1009 MsExchangeMailSubmission and Event ID 4 Security-Kerberos

We are running Exchange 2007 Sp3. We recently started getting the 1009 Mail Submission error. I noticed in the system log I see Event ID 4 Security-Kerberos at the same time the 1009 occurs. Then mail will not send. We still can receive. I can get it going by stopping the transport service for a few minutes and starting it back up. Sometimes I will have to reboot to get it flowing again. We see no back pressure events. We have plenty of memory and Drive space. We are running a windows 2003 DC and a 2008 DC which we installed recently. I transferred the FSMO roles to the 2008 Server and made it a GC. Eventually we will demote the 2003 server and retire it.

I saw this article which looks like it pertains to our issue, but we are not running Windows 2008 R2 on our exchange server. Would it be bad for me to try this fix? Deleting the reg key mentioned?

Since you have this errors, did you rebooted the Exchange server?

Because you moved the FSMO roles exchange try to talk with the same dc which had the fsmo roles.
also, if you want to proceed with the registry fix, make sure you backup the registry first.

I would say please do Export and Save the registry before you make any changes and once changes are made you will have to restart the Server

Yes, the server has been rebooted numerous times. That will resolve it for a little bit, but it eventually comes back. I will go ahead and save the registry and try deleting that key and see if that fixes it. I will reply back if this fixes it or not.
Should I Export and save just the one key I am going to delete or the entire registry?

I already pretty much knew what to do here, just needed a second opinion.
