Virus, Malware, Spyware, Network Threat Protection Recommendations

We're currently running Symantec Endpoint Protection Enterprise with a central Endpoint Manager server, ver: 11.0.6005.562.

This system was deployed going on 4 years ago and is in need of an upgrade.  However, based on lackluster performance,  a fairly convoluted interface, a non-sensical in-place upgrade process and a support maze that would drive a mouse insane we are considering alternatives when our current contract expires in a few months.

We have a Microsoft Enterprise Agreement that affords us essentially anything in their catalog.  I'd like to hear feedback and insights about their ForeFront product line.  Granted, MS Marketing likes to keep us IT folks on our toes by contstantly re-branding and repacking products, but to be clear I'm specifically interested in their managed client end-point protection offerings for anti virus, malware, spyware and network threat protection.

All feedback is valued, so depending on the answers I receive and the number of responders I will award some points to each in an arbitrary weighted fashion.  Thanks in advance.

Thanks, I have some familiarity with GFI and Vipre looks interesting, especially have glancing through a few case studies.  For an organization of 100 nodes, can you tell me a ballpark cost to implement and annual support fees?  I'm not ready to request formal quotes, I'm busy enough without fielding calls and such.
Think it was around €15 per machine, so for 100 that would be €1500 for the year, this includes support as well...
I don't know if Microsoft carries it in their bag of tricks, but have you considered Avast! Endpoint Protection?

I use the free version and recommend it to every customer that needs protection, and install it on every custom build we sell. To me, Avast works and protects better than Norton, McAfee, Kaspersky, and AVG.
