You may have to change the DHCP scope depending on how many static IP addresses you want and how many the current scope allows.
Say your subnet and mask are 192.168.1.0/24 and your current scope is 192.168.6 - .254. This leaves 5 static addresses to assign. If you want 10, you will need to reduce the scope to allow 10 instead of 5.

- Turn off DHCP on the router
- Make the IP address / range on the sbs2003 the router used.
- On sbs2003 go to start / administrative tools / DHCP / Add Server
- Choose the same scope (IP range as the router)
- You'll have to Authorize the DHCP server, it will have a red X. Right click the server and choose Authorize. May have to close DHCP and reopen for it to authorize.
