wiring diagram phone system
HELLO I NEED HELL ON A FULL SYSTEM SETUP ON A AVAYA 103G15/16...FIRST HOW MANY PAIRS WOULD HAVE TO GO TO THE JACK.. IVE SEEN OTHER PHONE SYSTEMS RUNNING ONE PAIR TO THE PHONE JACK. BUT I AM TOLD IT MUST BE TWO..CONFUSED.. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME WITH WIRING DIAGRAM OF THE PHONE SYSTEM TO THE PATCHJ PANEL TO THE WALL JACK.. WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IT.. ALSO I NEED A MANUAL FOR THIS PHONE SYSTEM 103G15/16.....
For a single line, all it should need is red and green on the 2 center terminals of the RJ11 jacks/plugs. Do you have multiple lines?
Use standard RJ14 wiring NOT RJ11 the Partner system is a digital key system, not an analog system nor a VoIP system. See image for example. One pair provides digital and the 2nd pair 48vdc to power phone.
If you must for some reason use RJ45 jacks or cables do NOT use 568B. You must use 568A wiring to conform.
Avaya partner document See Avaya Partner document link for the manual for other info about the Avaya Partner

I'm not sure where you got that picture, but the terminals appear to be numbered wrong...
It shows pins 2, 3, 4 and 5 being used, and the jack on the left is labeled backwards.
i.e. With the keyway up the sequence should be 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.

no its 1,2 and 4,5
I don't know what you mean, jafars62... I was referring to the picture posted by atrevido.
If you're saying one or more of your jacks are wired using 1, 2, 4 and 5, that's probably what's wrong, as the pairs are supposed to be on 3+4, 2+5 and 1+6

thank you very much JRSCGI.. that's what I needed to know .so I can connect the green white in the replacement of orange which would be 2,5 , and the blue to the 3,4 on the voice jack is that correct..
yes, given what the pictures show, that should work.
