SBS 2003 loses access to sysvol folders and DNS errors 4004 & 4015 every 7 days

Hi Experts. This is an issue that has been going on for months. Every 7 days the SBS 2003 server becomes unresponsive. If I restart the server every 6 days it runs error free. I have installed and ran SBS 2003 BPA and fixed all reported issues. The event logs are squeaky clean up until the server takes a dump. I have ran who crashed and replaced a video driver that caused crashes a few months back. I have done mem tests, chkdsk's and prayed to a full moon. nothing has resolved this issue.
It is the only DC and below are some of the errors reported:
Event 4004
The DNS server was unable to complete directory service enumeration of zone ..  This DNS server is configured to use information obtained from Active Directory for this zone and is unable to load the zone without it.  Check that the Active Directory is functioning properly and repeat enumeration of the zone. The extended error debug information (which may be empty) is "". The event data contains the error.
Event 4015
The DNS server has encountered a critical error from the Active Directory. Check that the Active Directory is functioning properly. The extended error debug information (which may be empty) is "". The event data contains the error.
Event 4000
The DNS server was unable to open Active Directory.  This DNS server is configured to obtain and use information from the directory for this zone and is unable to load the zone without it.  Check that the Active Directory is functioning properly and reload the zone. The event data is the error code.
Event 1058
Windows cannot access the file gpt.ini for GPO cn={0FAFBD00-106C-4995-B735-B437ABC3309E},cn=policies,cn=system,DC=*********,DC=local. The file must be present at the location <\\**********\SysVol\**********\Policies\{0FAFBD00-106C-4995-B735-B437ABC3309E}\gpt.ini>. (Configuration information could not be read from the domain controller, either because the machine is unavailable, or access has been denied. ). Group Policy processing aborted.

Does SBS support multiple DCs?

You need to create another DC first. Even a VM or desktop PC will do.

Is this DC a GC? If not then make it one.

Yes SBS supports an additional DC but fsmo roles all need to stay on the SBS box.
I think your problem might be related to a well know issue on multiple SBS 2003 enviroment.

Please try the steps in the following article:  http://support.microsoft.com/kb/888943. and if this doesn't help let me know.

I was able to convince the user it was time to put that old sbs 203 server out of it's misery.
