sp2 install hangs-win 2k3

Hi,
I am trying to install sp2 on windows server 2003 Enterprise 64 bit but it gets hanged at kb976932. it is HP Proliant Blade server.

Can you reboot the machine and check the error codes from event viewer?

sorry it's a 2008 server ent. edition. it's a prod server i cannot reboot it at will.

it is giving me the following info in event viewer:

Initiating changes for package KB976932. Current state is Absent. Target state is Installed. Client id: SP Coordinater Engine.

We need to identify the error code from the event log inorder to isolate the issue.

install the system readiness tool and rename the Software distribution folder.
Then try to install the SP2 on 2008.

waited long for almost 9 hrs for patch installation on windows machine.
