Windows Fax on Windows 2008 Server
Hello everyone,
I have an external USB Connexant CX930010 fax modem connected to the server. On there I have a virtual server running windows 2008 R2 where I have installed the Microsoft Fax Role. I set it up to use the local fax modem for incoming and outgoing messages. When I check the Fax Account it says that it is connected to the Local Fax.
Every time I send a message using the MS Fax Console the message will go to the outbox and just stays there in a Pending Status with no Extended Status information.
I have purchased a "basic phone" and have been able to make phone calls from that phone line without any issues to trouble shoot it as far as the issue resides somewhere on my server.
There is another software installed which their IT company tried to use because we couldn't get Windows Fax working. Its called FaxAmatic, but that will not send or recieve faxes either. It seems to have an issue with my actual fax modem as it asks you to select the fax modem you are using and mine isn't in the list. I have turned this off in the services to not create any conflicts with Windows Fax. My company prefers that we use Windows Fax because it will allow our software to fully integrate with it.
I do not have much experiance with Virtual Servers or setting up Windows Fax. Any Help would be appreciated!
