Outlook pop3 multiple undeliverables

Hi,

I have a customer who everyday receives hundreds of undeliverable messages in her inbox to senders he doesn't know or never sent emails to.  Its a POP3 account hosted outside by a 3rd party.  I scanned his computer multiple times with different software for viruses and all is clean.  Some found and removed.  This is still happening.  I changed pswd, etc.  The POP3 host is of no help.  Any ideas?  Thanks.

Hi it is on her POP providers side I expect. How long has it been going on, what is the content of the undeliverables? I'm assuming it is spam, and your customer's email address has been hijacked. Typically this will stop in a couple of weeks. In the meantime, she has to weather the storm. She should be able to filter out undeliverables with a rule in Outlook, and send them straight to the deleted items.
Hope that helps

Its going on 2 weeks now.  The content is:

"Subject: Mail delivery failed: returning message to sender

This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

  gangstah@us8.la.thewebhostserver.com
    (generated from 168_shinitama@gangstahaiku.com)
mailbox is full: retry timeout exceeded"

Any help would be appreciated.  As mentioned, her pswd has been changed a couple of times since it started.
