Add new columns( with data) to the existing sql tables

Morning All, I need to add columns from another table that already has data in it. But the tricky part is that the rows need to match up with the primary key, in the table where I am adding the columns. This way if there is data there it is matched up with the rest of the data, if not the row remains empty.
