Change My Documents location using variable in Group Policy Preferences?

An older admin had used the old "Profile" method of deploying the logon scripts. The problem is that I have users whose computers on remote sites dont always run the logon script. To fix this, I am doing away with the "Profile Tab" method and using Group Policy Preferences instead.

My question is, is there a way to change the location of a users "My Documents" folder to a network share based on their log in name?

For example, lets says the users documents are currently in \\server\users\loginname. Instead of me having to manually add/change that, can I set it up in some way to change it automatically based on the username?
