Robocopy is a good tool. i have used it as well.<br />

Parent child inheritance can cause you some problems.<br />
<br />
&nbsp;best option is to disable inheritance from the Parent location on the new server that you are about to place these files before the move

I have an old server which was used as a file server. I need to move all these folders and files keeping the folder structure, user rights, security, etc. &nbsp;to a new server. <br />

How can I keep all the properties while moving? If I just copy and paste the root, will it keep all the properties or may create anything? <br />
