Web sites not displaying properly
I'm looking at a laptop where site in any browser are not displaying fully. Buttons might be missing, or boxes drawn around things that should have boxes. It is very strange. Internet explorer is version 8. I cannot find anything wrong with this machine, yet every page I go to has something wrong.

Nothing showed anything serious at all. Some tracking cookies and stuff like that, but no maleware, spyware, viruses, trojans or anything else.
I was thinking about uninstalling IE8 and reinstalling, but the issue happens with FireFox as well. I uninstalled Firefox 12 and installed 18, but it still displaying pages incorrectly. They appear to be partially completed, while on another PC and from google the page is correct.
Thanks.
I installed Chrome a little while ago and it seems to be working correctly. I

Also, if you can send the URL of one of the pages displaying issues and describe what is not being displayed properly (perhaps attach a screen shot), that would be helpful so we can better determine the cause of the issue, if one of the above options does not resolve the issue.

Since noting in the suggestions seemed to help I think this can be closed. I'm grateful for the suggestions, but we had to rebuild the machine completely.
Close all instances of the browser, open task manager and make certain there are no instances of iexplore.exe running. If there are, end them.
Open IE again and see if the problem is still occuring.
If so, go to Tools then select Internet Options, then select the Advanced tab. Scroll down to the Multimedia are and make certain Show Pictures is checked and Show Image Download Placeholders is not checked.
If this doesn't solve the problem, go to Tools then select Internet Options, then select the Advanced tab. Click on the Restore Advanced Settings button then select Apply, then select OK. Reboot the computer and check to see if the issue has been resolved.
