Setting a mirroed SQL db to read only

Guys

Im just after some advice.  


I am after setting 1 of the sql databases to read only this database is mirrored

is this possible without breaking the mirror ??

yes, you can access mirrored database as read-only copy using database snapshot

Refer the below Link:

CREATE DATABASE AdventureWorks_dbss1800 ON
( NAME = AdventureWorks_Data, FILENAME =
'C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL11.MSSQLSERVER\MSSQL\Data\AdventureWorks_data_1800.ss' )
AS SNAPSHOT OF AdventureWorks;
GO

Note: The logical name of snapshot DB must match with the logical name of the source database
