Need TAPI driver for my moden in Windows 8
I just upgraded to Windows 8 and the caller ID on my modem stopped working because the standard windows driver is not TAPI compatible. I only need the modem for caller ID and to work as my answering machine, but now I do not even have that.
I do not know what type of modem it is. I took it out, but do not see anything that clearly identifies it.
Can anyone help me find a windows 8 driver for this modem?
Thank you.

Thank you for the link.
I installed the software that seems to be most appropriate, but I cannot use the WIN7 installation option. The software detects that I am using Win 8 and does not proceed.
So I browsed through the files and found a setup.exe file in a folder G:\drivers\Trendnet Modem\Data\Drivers\32-bit\ Win7 (and another in G:\drivers\Trendnet Modem\Data\Drivers\64-bit\ Win7). It goes through a process, and then nothing seems to happen.
I removed the modem using Device Manager and as the installation process moved forward, the modem reappeared as a LSI PCI-SV92PP modem. I don't remember if that is the same as what was before, but my "call station" software does not recognize this as TAPI compliant. I tried to update the drive and manually point to one of the above folders, but windows 8 responded that I already had the latest driver installed.
Please advise.

What is the software you are using for your call station? Try reinstalling it. If that doesn't work, go into device manager and right click the modem and select update driver and browse to the location where you unzipped the driver files and find the win7 driver and update that way. Do not use the setup program.

I am using "CallStation 5.52" from www.imptec.com.
I deleted the modem and then installed it by selecting the driver I downloaded. The end result is a "Agere Systems PCI SV92PP Soft Modem".
I also reinstalled CallStation 5.52.
Still no caller ID, which is the reason I need the updating driver and the entire objective of this exercise.
The software says (http://www.imptec.com/modems.htm) that it can work with a Trendnet modem.
Any suggestions?

callstation gave me a driver that they had customized, and it worked perfectly. Thank you for your help, though.
