Can You provide Things I should Check on SQL 2008 Server for Audit Purposes?
I have a client that is on SQL 2008 Server for there database for the ERP software they use (JD Edwards).
I have been tasked with doing an audit on there system, including there SQL 2008 Server.
I have worked with SQL 2000 & 2005 but not much with 2008.
I wanted to see if I could get some of the SQL 2008 experts to give me a list of areas to check on the SQL 2008 server that would be important to check for audit purposes and what your recommendations might be.
For example, what memory requirements should be, etc.
Just something that will help get me on the right track. If you have any documentation on SQL 2008 performance that would be great as well!
This is a high priority as this audit will begin Monday Feb 18th.
Thanks!

I'm looking for more specific settings, areas to look at in SQL 2008 server, like memory settings, archive log settings, etc.
That is the type of specifics I"m looking for and need.
thanks.
