Windows update just runs and runs
hi,
i am using server 2008.... the windows update tells me it is checking for updates...., but just runs and runs... and does not stop...
is there a way to stop the process and manually get the system up to date...or must i reboot to stop the process?

The check for updates will take several minutes only, but the download of the will take much longer (possibly over an hour) depending on connection speed and server congestion.
