My wordpress theme is acting up. The regular link is different than the preview when I am in the dashboard

I have a site up at www.g3creative.com and when I am not logged into my wordpress dashboard it looks one way. The bottom row of images is out of order but the images shift up correctly. When I log into my wordpress dashboard the images are in the correct order but they do not shift up. I have attached photos so you can see what I mean. I have also attached a photo of the way it should look.

Everything was fine. Then I logged in one day last week and it was out of whack. Me and one other person have admin access. The only thing he has done is add posts to the portfolio section so it should not have affected the home page since it is home page posts. I logged in and noticed my wordpress and some plugins were outdated so I updated everything but that didn't work. I have no idea what to do to fix this. Please help.

What you are seeing is due to the Admin Bar (the grey bar across the top of the logged-in screenshot) showing up.  Simply disable it in your user profile and move on.

How do I disable the admin bar? Also, when I am not logged into the dashboard the images are not in the correct order. So how would the page go to the correct order by disabling the admin bar? I am confused.
>> How do I disable the admin bar?

Edit your user profile from the WordPress backend.  One of the first option groups deals with the admin bar.

>> Also, when I am not logged into the dashboard the images are not in the correct order

You're using absolutely positioned divs to get the effect, so just make sure the right image is matched up with the right div.
I think you may have misunderstood my question. I have now taken off the admin bar while viewing when I am logged in and that did nothing. The home page looks the same but without the admin bar.

I am not sure what you mean by that, but the way it is coded now is how it's always been coded and everything was fine. My main question is why does it look one way when I am logged in (the images being a different order) and a different way when I am logged out? And why do they shift up like they should when I am logged out but not when I am logged in. It should display the exact same way when I am logged in or out. And lastly, how do I get it to look the right way, like the image I attached in the original question?
You're right, I probably misunderstood the reordering problem.

How is that front page generated?  Plugin? Custom query?
I would have to say it has to do with the Masonry plugin. And the difference in content you're seeing (between LI and LO) might be uncommitted changes. Make sure you have the latest version of Masonry and that you have the latest version of jQuery.
Your dashboard is not a browser.  In the browser it is rendering to standards.  However what is correct is anybody's guess with all the scripting going on. The excessive scripting is also why it positions and the re-position. With all the external junk being loaded in and load time scripting it is almost certain that the floats are positioning based on minor differences in width, height, margin, position, etc on some element in the page that is getting stomped in the Document object by jquery.

Work with it in the browser and play with the styling and/or scripting until you get the right combination.  It might take 5 minutes or 5 days to find the problem.

OR

Remove all the other Junk and set up up correctly in the browser (not the dashboard).  Then start adding the other stuff back in until it breaks and you will know what is breaking it.

I am a total php novice so I have no idea where to start with anything that was said. What I don't understand is why everything was working fine and now it's not. And why wordpress shows it as one thing but when I am not logged in it shows the layout another way. What I did to fix it was just change the post dates and kept logging out each time until I had the right configuration. Does anyone know if this is a common wordpress issue? I'm curious to know if this is something I need to watch out for on other sites.

The front page was generated by posts like you said. And yes, the sort order is very strange. I had to edit the posts a certain way to get it to work the first time so when this happened out of the blue I realized if I did it again it would work. But I wanted to know why this happened. So maybe it had something to do with the query or a plugin like you said. I recently started doing online php training but I am nowhere near a point where I can fix things. Thanks for the tip. I have thought about joining a group so I will look into it. I've posted other wordpress questions on here before and have always been able to get an answer but I definitely understand that looking at the back end is a quicker solution. Thanks for your help. I really appreciate it.

It's not necessarily quicker but it has to do with the nature of the problem.  Some issues can easily be answered without back end access, others can't.  This was one of the latter issues.  Combine that with your unfamiliarity with the development environment and we were reduced to guessing the issue.

EE works best if you post very specific questions.  General "what happened?" is open for speculation.  We'll take our best guesses based on what we see from the links you post but they are still just guesses.
Noted. Thanks again.
