Step by Step instructions to setup Echange 2010 Activesync to work with mobile phones

Hello,

Are there any step by step instructions out there that will allow me to setup exchange 2010 activesync to work with mobile phones?

This past weekend I did a server migration from SBS 2003 to Server 2008r2 w/Exch. 2010 following demazter's guide. For the most part the migration went smooth. Right now I am trying to setup activesync for mobile phones.

It appears that I have setup my android phone to work but when I hit refresh it just sits there "refreshing..." and emails never get sent or received. Does anyone have any experience in this area?

I even installed the CA to do a self signed cert. using a guide from petnetlive and still it will not send or receive email.

Thank You,
smgtech

The self signed SSL certificate is not supported for use with ActiveSync.
You should switch to a commercial SSL certificate to begin with, then test again. Microsoft have tools for testing the setup of ActiveSync at http://exrca.com/

anoopsudheer: the http://www.petenetlive.com/KB/Article/0000242.htm tutorial is what I used to set it up already.

Sembee2: the self signed SSL certificate is supported according to petenetlive

myousufali: the www.testexchangeconnectivity.com gave  when testing foldersync The test of the FolderSync command failed.       Exchange ActiveSync returned an HTTP 500 response.

My solution fixed the issue I was having. Sembee2 verified that it was a legit fix since permission inheritence issues are common.
