windows virtual pc
i have a win7 box and i have been playing with XP mode. but i had some problems and would like to try windows virtual machine
however, when i googled microsoft virtual pc i keep finding xp mode. is my terminology wrong, or maybe my memory is off. i thought there was something like vmware from microsoft that WASN'T XPmode?
any ideas?

wow, I didn't expect so many responses!
anyhow, yes i know vmware is a seperate company from Microsoft, I was looking for microsoft's "version" of vmware and i get the impression that xpmode is pretty much it.
it reminds me of vmplayer - which i actually like vmplayer better.
so I guess i'll either keep xpmode, or think about using vmplayer.

VMware player actually can look for XP mode, and then convert it to VMware Player. So if you install the player on your system where XP mode is already installed, you can after that use the XP VM that XP mode installed under VMware Player.
