Cannot view public folders in outlook running Exchange 2007. They appear in OWA though
Hi All,
As the title suggests i am running Exchange 2007 and having problems viewing Public folders in outlook 2007/2010. The public folders appear and work fine in OWA though.
The relevant permissions have been setup as confirmed in OWA.
I have run outlook in cached mode, non cached using outlook 2007/2010, setup new profiles, used different computers, run through all the common troubleshooting.
I have checked permissions in EMC and all OK.
When trying to view PF's in outlook the error is "Cannot Expand the Folder, The attempt to logon to Exchange has failed"
I am stumped on this one. Any ideas?
This is not a server upgrade or migration.

Sounds like public folder permission are corrupt.
ASKER
but OWA works
Can you ensure that "MS Exchange RPC Client Access Service" is started and running.

I am running Exchange 2007, that service doesn't exist.
Hmmm, Seen similar problems (in searches) pointing to security update KB908376, but that
was a while ago.
