Yes I noticed even though its set at system managed if you add more memory it does not increase the page file it does recommend having a bigger one but still leaves it as the old size so I'm wondering whats the point in having it system managed! :

I have a very memory intensive application running on a 2008 R2 server with over 30 gigs of memory. The page file is less than 10gig. I would of said the page file needs to be bigger than the memory but am seeing posts this may not be the case. Also I presume I need to have enough space on the system drive to allow for a dmp file so in excess of 10 gig?<br />
