Sent mail thru port 25 on exchange 2010
hi all, i have an exchange 2010 server installed and it's working fine. i am able to sent and receive mail. the problem that i have now is that i have to configure it so that i configure an outlook client on a remote computer to use this same exchange server, but port 25 as the smtp port. i am only getting the secure port for this. any help is appreciated.
Why not set your client to use outlook anywhere?? Http over RPC?? This way they get the full mapi experience

That's the problem. the mapi option works fine. but the thing is that we need to configure this on a controller unit from an airconditioner. the software of that unit can only mail thru port 25. so i need to get port 25 to work.

ok. it was not listed. only 587. so i just added port 25. should this solve the problem?

but port 25 is listed on the default connector. shouldn't that work
My setup was the same. Wasnt on my client connector but was on the default. I still had to add it to the client connector...
