I have a multihomed server (W2k8, with 4 NIC's) on which a WINS server is implemented (the usage of WINS is intentionally and not to be discussed).<br />

I've found out on the hard way that the WINS server serves requests only on the first network adapter (based on the adapter precedence order configured in the network adapter settings advanced settings topic).<br />

Is there any way how I can force WINS to react on more than one adapter ?<br />

(Wild speculation if anything else fails: May I set up a VM that resides under the hood of the second (third, fourth, etc.) NIC's IP and does the name resolution there, just doing replication with the host machine)
