sbs2003 blacklist removal
my client hosts a sbs2003 with smtp feed.

when we send an email to an aol address we receive a bounce back.

i did a check on mxtoolbox and we are blacklisted

 TIMEOUT      DNS-SERVICIOS      Detail            0      Ignore
 TIMEOUT      IMP-SPAM      Detail            0      Ignore
 TIMEOUT      SWINOG      Detail            0      Ignore

how can we remove ourselves from the black list

like you have said you checked and you are listed. It will tell you on what servers you are listed and procedure to remove on their website.

but before you do that you need to found out why you have been listed in the first instance. i would run checks on the server or all the computers that are connected as there is bound to be some account which is being compromised.

I would also change the users and servers passwords to be on safe side

SMTP Reverse Banner Check      Reverse DNS FAILED! This is a problem..      Ignore
SMTP TLS      Warning - Does not support TLS.      Ignore
SMTP Connection Time      0.265 seconds - Good on Connection time
SMTP Open Relay      OK - Not an open relay.

You can ask them to set one up for you especially if they are managing your DNS. Contact support and ask for a PTR record for your mail server IP that points to the FQDN (mail.whatever.co.uk)

I asked my provider and they said we don't do PTR

Maybe it's called cname and I'm Using the wrong name which they are not familiar with.

There not too clued up these support people.

I have setup an MX record , I guess that's not the same as PTR

The PTR is entered by the owner of the IP block or they have to specify a DNS server forward the request to.
