Changes made to the item were lost due to a reconnect with the server

I have a couple users who experience this problem in Outlook 2010: Changes made to the item were lost due to a reconnect with the server.

The scenerio:

A user would start an email in Outlook to a recipient.  He or she would be distracted for 5 minutes.  Come back to the email to finish it, presses send, and then gets the above message.  It cannot be saved and Outlook crashes.  Does anybody have any ideas what could be causing this to happen?

I checked to see if the user configuration was set to save in Draft mode, which it was.  There were only a couple of clients with the problem.

I ran an Office repair and that didn't fix the issue.  I checked the boxed to use Cache Mode, this seems to have fixed it, for now.  Thanks for all your input.
